Software Engineer

At Mattro, we develop high-performance electric drive and energy systems for advanced off-highway and robotic applications.

As a Software Engineer, you will develop embedded software for our vehicle control systems and battery management systems. You will work on innovative electric drive systems, safety-critical functions and state-of-the-art energy systems, and support projects from the concept phase through to series production.

 

In doing so, you will work closely with the Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Prototyping and Production departments, as well as with external partners, and play an active role in shaping the further development of our technologies.

What you’ll do

  • Embedded software development
    Development of embedded software in C for vehicle control and battery management systems (BMS) 

  • Control and regulation functions 
    Implementation of functions for electric drives and vehicle systems 

  • Functional safety 
    Implementation of safety mechanisms and support for safety concepts

  • Testing & Commissioning
    Carrying out module, integration and system tests, as well as debugging

  • Tools & Peripherals
    Contributing to diagnostic, flashing and development tools

Who You are

  • Technical qualifications 
    HTL, university of applied sciences or university degree in (Technical) Computer Science, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable subject. 

  • Experience 
    In embedded software development using C, debugging and systematic root-cause analysis. 

  • Functional safety
    An interest in safety-critical software development and technical system interrelationships. 

  • An advantage
    Knowledge of vehicle control systems, BMS, CANopen/J1939 and functional safety (e.g. ISO 13849, IEC 61508) 

  • Interests and working style 
    A structured, independent approach to work, as well as an interest in high-voltage systems and complex mechatronic systems.
